• Distributed database cryptographicly authenticates routes heard from a given peer should, or should not, be accepted

• RFC2769, “RPS Replication”, BIRD software

• rekhter/li/bates/bush used DNS to implement this

• Soft filtering techniques

  • ANS once used to de-localpref non-registered routes
  • It would be possible to flap dampen them, or delay their acceptance, to incentive registration

i.e. what you do with the 'this route should be filtered or not' information is up to you
