Current Techniques

• ACLs based on routing registries (routers can’t handle ACLs for large peers)

• Prefix length filters

• The following heuristic models:

  • Limit on number of prefixes accepted
  • Filter all your small peers through an AS-Path which rejects _1239_, _1_, _3561_, _701_, _2914_ etc.
